HS District Track Schedule for Monday, March 29, 2021.

In accordance with the new guidelines issued by the Commissioner of Education for the State of Texas, Morton ISD School Board has made the following changes to its mask and face covering policies on school property.
1. Social distancing will remain in place where feasible in the school setting.
2. Mask-wearing is encouraged at school events where large numbers of community members gather together.
3. Mask wearing remains a personal choice and will be permitted at school.
4. The Superintendent is authorized to temporarily rescind this Resolution pending further Board action in the event of changed conditions, including an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the school population.

Congratulations to Ethan Boggs today! He is placed 1st at the Sundown golf tournament with a 74.
Friday, April 2, 2021, will remain a scheduled Bad Weather make-up day, and there will be NO SCHOOL that day!

To Seniors and their parents
Re: Seniors who plan on attending college or vocational training after high school.
All seniors have been given a scholarship packet for local
scholarships. The completed scholarship applications are due April 12th in the counseling office. Each application will need 2 or 3 letters of recommendations, an essay, and a copy of their transcript.

Due to just being notified by Kress ISD, the field events for the JH Kress track meet were canceled. Running events started at 3:30.
Sorry for the late notice, we were informed by Kress ISD at 3:40 pm about these changes.

We have a few FREE Covid vaccine doses left. 1st come 1st serve elementary school cafeteria. Anyone 18 and older welcome.
Monday, March 15, at 10am, we will be giving the Johnson & Johnson Covid vaccine at the Elementary Cafeteria. We will administer to those who reserved one first and then it will be forst come first serve. You must wear a mask, and please be prepared to wait patiently for your turn. Thank you.

Covid shots will be given at 10am on Monday.
Covid vaccines are here!! if you would like a Covid vaccine, please contact the school nurse at 806-266-5505 x 303 by the end of today. Hurry, space is limited. Shots will be given on Monday morning (March 15).
Dear Family, Morton ISD Staff & School Community Friends,
It is a sad day to lose a loved one and doubly so when the loved one is a child. Morton ISD will close early on Thursday March 11th in order to allow our staff and students the opportunity to join family and friends to pay their last respects to Cristabel and her family.
School will release at NOON on Thursday, March 11th.

Also remember that Friday, March 12th, is an early release day at 12:30. Next week is Spring Break. Classes will resume Monday, March 22, 2021.
